Our second adventure into the Ana White project vault was the 2×4 Modern Adirondack Chairs. This plan was exactly what we needed to finish off our fire pit area.
With this plan, we started out making one chair to make sure we could wrap our brains around it – and boy were we glad we did. After we completed the first chair we realized that we wanted our chairs to be a little wider than the original plan called for. We figured this out in a super scientific way…. holding the boards for the seat of the chair against our tooshie! HA! That’s one of the best parts about Ana White’s plans, they are easily adaptable to personalize to make them your very own!
After we completed this build we added our finishing touches to match the outdoor sofa by using the Rust-Oleum Ultimate Wood Stain in Ebony and sealing with a polyurethane clear coat!
